In 15th Century Russia, the last Byzantium Princess, Sophia Palaiologina, moves from Rome to distant Moscow to marry Czar Ivan III. John orders the execution of all those who participated in the conspiracy, but Sophia persuades her husband not to kill. Ivan Grozny receives the crown.
